About Southern Utah
Southern Utah Gems
Southern Utah is host to a number of national and state parks as well as a wide variety of activities in a spectacular setting.
The area is rich in pioneer history, surrounded by stunning red cliffs, liberally speckled with green golf courses and surrounded by State Parks. The St. George area has a small town vibe with big city amenities. St. George hosts the St. George Marathon, the Huntsman World Senior Games, IRONMAN, and a over a dozen championship golf courses.
Tuachan amphitheater hosts theatre, concerts and festivals in an outdoor venue. Kayenta hosts the annual Street Painting Festival. The St George Art Festival and the Coyote Gulch Art Village are only a few of the many galleries open in the area.
If you are interested in hiking, rock climbing, biking, or horseback riding, Southern Utah is the gateway to Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, Grand Staircase-Escalante National Park, and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. These parks offer incredible views, wild life, and a refuge from hectic modern life. There is also fishing, water sports, sky diving, ATV tours, and canyoneering available in the area.
Southern Utah boasts temperate climates in the winter, with sunshine and balmy temperatures. The summers are hot with the occasional flash flood when rain decides to fall.
